This unit was manufactured during the late 1970s and 1980s, and can be coloured silver or green. It was made from anodised pressed aluminium. The original power tubes were either green or black and were threaded at the end so they would fit into the tube collar.
Mk5 power tube length excluding piston: 9″/23 cms.
Replacement tubes for this unit have been made from aluminium for the past 15 years and are available on the spares page.
Mk3 & Mk4
This unit, made during the 1970s and early 1980s was made from cast aluminium and was coloured silver, green and sometimes orange. The original tubes were made from stainless steel and were approximately 9 inches/22.86 cm long. Tubes are still available for this unit from the spares page.
Mk1 & Mk2
These were the first units we made and were designed to fit onto the side of the window. The unit had a sealed plastic body and the Mk I was fitted with a steel tube. The Mk II followed 2 years later with a stainless steel tube. These units are now obsolete and unfortunately are not repairable/serviceable.
